Leader Obama gave a previous address in Redford, Michigan, earlier today, by which he addressed the bullshit "To Work" legislation, and, wow, is he pissed with this particular union-busting, workers' privileges-subverting garbage.We ought to try everything we are able to to help keep creating good middle-class jobs which help folks rebuild to safeguard their own families. [applause] And that we must do everything we are able to to inspire the likes of Daimler to help keep trading in American employees. And, incidentally, what we should should not do—I just gotta say this—what we should not do is attempting to consider away your privileges to bargain for better wages and dealing conditions. [huge sustained cheers and applause] We should not do that.You realize, th-th-these so-known as to work laws—they do not have related to financial aspects they've everything related to politics. [shouts of agreement] What they are really speaking about is providing you with the authority to work at a lower price! [cheers and applause] You just turn to Michigan, where employees were instrumental in refreshing the car industry, to determine how unions have assisted build not only a more powerful middle-class but a more powerful America. [shouts of agreement]So, folks from your states' capitals, completely towards the nation's capital—they ought to be focused on a single factor. They must be trying to make certain the likes of this manufacturer has the capacity to make more great items. [shouts of agreement] That is what they must be centered on. Not— We do not desire a race towards the bottom we would like a race to the peak! [cheers and applause]America— America's not gonna compete according to low-skill, low-wage, no workers' rights—that's not our competitive advantage! Almost always there is destined to be another country that may treat its employees a whole lot worse. [murmurs and laughter] Right? [shouts of "Right!"] What's gonna make us succeed is the fact that we've got the very best employees, well-trained, reliable, productive, low-turnover, healthy—that's why is us strong. [cheers and applause]So, so, so we have gotta work through this complete situation where we manufacture crises due to politics.
